Library to host Pop-up Book Sale

The St. Clair County Library-Lowry City Branch will host a pop-up book sale beginning Tuesday, May 6. A wide variety of books are available by donation only. Stop is anytime and see if there's anything that peaks your interest.

No Burning Trash in the City Limits

Residents of Lowry City...
Just a friendly reminder

City Ordinance 8003 section 11 BURNING REGULATIONS, No person shall kindle, set fire to, or burn any combustible material within the city limits of the City of Lowry City with the exception of lawn debris, i.e.: tree limbs, brush, leaves, grass clippings, etc., THAT IS THE PRODUCT OF LAWN OR GARDEN MAINTENANCE ON PROPERTY FROM WHICH DEBRIS IS BURNED. Any person so burning any such material shall continuously attend and observe the same while burning so as to prevent any fire from spreading or causing any damage to property or nuisance to other persons. No burning shall be within ten feet of the boundary line of any adjoining property. Such material shall be burned between the hour of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Fire Department or City of Lowry City shall be notified of any such controlled burn to be conducted

This ordinance violation carries fines of not more than $500 or imprisoned not more than one year or by both such fine and imprisonment.
